The present petition is only for seeking a direction to give a proper medical treatment to the petitioner who is lodged in jail and is suffering with the mental ailment.

It is stated that the petitioner since needs a special treatment of Psychiatric, he may be given treatment in the advanced center. The petitioner refers to certain medical documents wherein the reference to the Psychiatric has been advised.

Considering the prayer made, no prejudice would be made to the State and the State is also under the duty to provide proper medical care to the convicts and in case of mental illness, the patient is to be referred to a medical center where experts are available to provide treatment for mental

illness. The petitioner therefore may be examined by the Psychiatric and other experts.

Accordingly, it is directed that the State may ensure that the petitioner may be given advanced medical treatment in the center having the experts to treat mental illness.
