Agrawal Order On Board 1 2/0 3 /201 (1) Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the revision petition preferred by the petitioner under Section 30 of the Mines and Mineral (Development and Regulation) Act, 1957 (henceforth "Act, 1957") is pending consideration since 10.06.2014 whereas it ought to have been disposed of as per Rule 54 of the Mineral Concession Rules, 1960 (henceforth, Rules, 1960) within a period of three months from the date of receipt of revision petition. (2) Learned counsel for the Union of India would submit that the revision petition will be considered expeditiously.
(3) Be that as it may, respondent No.1 - Union of India is directed to dispose of the revision petition filed under Section 30 of the Act, 1957 as per Rule 54 of the Rules, 1960 expeditiously preferably within a period of 45 days from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order after hearing the affected parties.
(4) With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition stands finally disposed of.
