Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in occupation of a house bearing No. 230/1 situated at Sanjay Nagar Ward No. 23 wherein he is residing for near about two decades. He submits that since the condition of the superstructure is dilapidated, therefore the petitioner has filed an application for renovation of the house by Annexure P/2 dated 17.07.2020, however the same is not being considered till date. 2.

Learned counsel for the respondents submit that the petitioner, if completes the necessary formalities and files the necessary documents along with the site plan etc., then that would be considered in accordance with law as envisaged under Section 294 of the Chhattisgarh Municipal Corporation Act 1956.

In view of this, the petitioner may make an application to the Municipal Corporation along with the necessary documents for renovation/ altercation, and if the same is filed then the same shall be decided by the respondent authorities in accordance with law within a period of 45 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 4.
