1. Petitioner is the father of detenu Poonam Manikpuri, aged about 19 years. In this petition for issuance of writ of habeas corpus, it was alleged that after death of her mother the detenu has been wrongfully detained by her maternal uncle at Jharkhand.

2. After enquiry by the respondent/Police authorities, statements of detenu Poonam Manikpuri and her maternal uncle (Heera Das) has been filed as Annexure- R/2 evidencing that there is no threat to life and liberty of the detenu and she is residing with her maternal uncle at her own sweet will.

3. In the course of hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner also submitted that at present his daughter is living with her maternaluncle at her own sweet will and it appears that there is no threat to her life or liberty.

4. In view of the above, the writ of habeas corpus preferred by the petitioner is disposed of.
