The main matter out of which this contempt petition arises has already been decided and compensation of Rupees Five Lakhs has been awarded to the plaintiff. Therefore, in my opinion, no action needs to be taken in this contempt petition even in which cognizance was not taken by the Court for the last 10 years.

From the record I find that though notices had been issued, no contempt proceedings have been initiated as contemplated under Section 20 of the Contempt of Courts Act.
