1. The limited relief that the petitioner has sought for is for in the present writ petition is for an appropriate direction to the respondent No.3 to take appropriate steps for correction of the mother's name of the petitioner in the mark-sheet issued for class-8th that was issued in the year 2001.

2. Counsel for the petitioner submits that in the subsequent mark-sheet for the class-10th and 12th the mother's name has been properly reflected as "Maya Sharma", however inadvertently due to clerical error the name of the mother in the class-8th mark-sheet has been reflected as "Mayavati Sharma" and prays for an appropriate direction for correction and for issuance of fresh mark-sheet.

3. Counsel appearing for the respondent No.2-Board submits that under the guidelines, correction of the parents' name in the mark-sheet can be done within a period of 20 days.

4. Given the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case and also taking into consideration the limited nature of relief that the petitioner has sought for, let the petitioner approach the respondent No.3 within a period of 15 days from today by moving an appropriate application in this regard supported with all relevant documents and the respondent no.3 in turn shall take appropriate steps for redressal of the grievance of the petitioner in accordance with the Rules and Guidelines governing the field pertaining to correction of the parents' name in the mark-sheet.

5. Let the respondent No.3 take a decision within a further period of 2 months from the date of receipt of the copy of this order.

6. With the aforesaid observations, the present writ petition stands disposed of.
