1. It is a case where the claim of the petitioner for grant of compassionate appointment has not been considered by the respondents.

2. The facts of the case is that, the petitioner's father working as Assistant Development Officer with the respondents died in harness on 15.02.2013. The petitioner is the sole married daughter of the deceased. She moved an application for grant of compassionate appointment which has not been considered by the respondents till date.

3. So far as whether married daughter would be entitled for

compassionate appointment or not stands settled by the decision of this court in case of Smt. Sarojni Bhoi Vs. State of Chhattisgarh, WPS No. 296 of 2014, decided on 30.11.2015. Subsequently, the rules for compassionate appointment has also been amended and married daughters have also been held entitled for the compassionate appointment.

4. Given the facts and circumstances of the case, ends of justice would meet if this petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent No.6 to consider the case of the petitioner and to pass a suitable order on merits purely in accordance with rules applicable for compassionate appointment within a period of 60 days from the date of production of certified copy of this order before the respondent No.6. It shall be the responsibility of the petitioner to provide the certified copy of this order to respondent No.6. Sd/- (P.Sam Koshy) Judge inder
