1. The present is a petition where relief of a direction to the respondents for consideration of grant of compassionate appointment is sought.
2. The counsel for the petitioner submits that vide Annexure P/2 dated 07.11.2015 the authorities in the department had sought for necessary opinion in respect of the claim of the petitioner, but no further development had taken place on the application.
3. Given the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is of the opinion that ends of justice would meet if the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents No. 2 & 3 to ensure
that the application for compassionate appointment of the petitioner is considered in accordance with the rules, that were applicable on the date of death of the deceased-employee.
4. The respondent authorities are expected to take a decision as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of 90 days from the date of receipt of the order of this Court.
5. It shall be responsibility of the petitioner to produce the copy of the order passed by this Court before the concerned authority. Sd/- (P. Sam Koshy) Judge Ved
