1. We have heard the learned counsel for the Petitioner and the learned Deputy Advocate General.

2. The Petitioner is the husband of the woman who is stated to be missing. They have a two year old young child who is now with the Petitioner.

3. It is submitted on behalf of the official respondents that in the course of inquiry, what they have come to know is that the woman had left the matrimonial home and has moved to some place in Delhi to be with another

person with whom she, apparently has a relationship. It is further submitted that this fact appears to be within the knowledge of the near relatives of the Petitioner as well. We are of the view that the official respondents, particularly the police, will have to vigorously carry on the inquiry pursuant to the lodgment of report that the said woman is missing and reach at the conclusion without delay. If and when the such matter is recorded, that shall be communicated to the Petitioner.
