Shukla, Advocate Order On Board 01/07/2015 This contempt petition has been filed by the petitioner alleging willful obedience of Court order dated 23-08-2013 whereby direction was issued by this Cout to respondent No.2 therein to get proper enquiry done as early as possible through responsible officer into the complaints of the petitioner and if in the enquiry, the complaint is found correct, to take appropriate action against the persons who are involved.

It is submitted that even after almost two years have lapsed, till date, no steps have been taken nor enquiry has been completed. The respondent No.2 has not disclosed any information also.

Even though, no specific time limit was prescribed by this Court for concluding enquiry, the spirit of the order of the Court required respondent-Collector to hold enquiry and bring it to its logical conclusion within a reasonable time. 4.

Therefore, in these circumstances, at this stage, it would be proper that the

-2respondent No.2 should disclose information in writing to the petitioner regarding result of enquiry, if any, held as per the directions of the Court and action, if any, taken on the basis of the said report.

Let a copy of this order, which is now being passed, be placed before the respondent-Collector by the petitioner and information shall be provided to the petitioner within a period of 30 days from the date of production of a copy of this order. Thereafter, if eventuality so arises, the petitioner would be at liberty to revive contempt petition.
