With the consent of the learned counsel for the parties, the matter is heard finally.

The petitioner has preferred this writ petition seeking direction to the respondent authorities to appoint him on compassionate ground. Perusal of the pleadings and papers annexed with the writ petition would reveal that on account of death of the petitioner's father on 08.06.2014, he has moved an application for grant of compassionate appointment before the respondent No.2 on 05.12.2014. According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the said application has not yet

been decided.

In view of the statement made, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction that if the petitioner's application for compassionate appointment is still pending, the respondent No.2 shall consider and decided the same by a speaking order, on its own merits, at the earliest, preferably within a period of 6 months from the date of submission of the certified copy of this order. 4.

It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case and the respondent authorities shall decide the matter, on its own merits, strictly in accordance with law, without treating any observation made in this order, as opinion on the merits of the case.
