The Petitioner has instituted this writ petition as public interest litigation. He claims that the land in relation to which the writ petition is filed is Abadi, and therefore, it requires to be protected with further lands for the purpose of villagers of Gram Panchayat, Sonhat.

Hearing the learned counsel for the Petitioner in the light of the materials on record, we see that the Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat, Sonhat had made a representation or complaint to the official Respondent. We therefore required the

learned Additional Advocate General to obtain instructions as to what happened to Annexure P/1 and Annexure P/2 proceedings. He submitted that the land in question belongs to the Forest Department and that Department is putting it to appropriate utility and protecting it from being scouted upon by unauthorised elements. He also submitted that the Sarpanch's petition has been disposed of by the Tahsildar on 14.08.2017 in view of the facts position and nothing remains even in that regard. 3.

We record the aforesaid submissions on behalf of the State and dismiss this petition without prejudice to the Sarpanch or the Gram Panchayat seeking such remedies, if any found necessary, in accordance with the laws.
