1. The petitioner has filed this petition aggrieved by his supersession on account of promotion of his juniors on the post of Sub Inspector on 4.4.2007.

2. This petition was filed on 20.6.2007. From the return of the respondent, it is found that soon thereafter, two orders were passed one on 16.8.2007 and the other on 17.8.2007. By order dated 16.8.2007, the petitioner was granted appropriate seniority as Assistant Sub Inspector w.e.f. 3.8.1989. By another order dated 17.8.2007, the petitioner was granted promotion as Sub-Inspector but only from the date of order of promotion. It would thus appear that largely, the grievance of the petitioner has already been redressed.

-23. Learned counsel for the petitioner, however, submits that though the petitioner was granted promotion as Sub-Inspector vide order dated 17.8.2007, the benefit of the same have not been granted to him since 4.4.2007 when his juniors were promoted.

4. If that is the grievance, the cause of action arose on 17.8.2007 itself during pendency of the petition. The petitioner did not seek any relief in respect of grant of promotion over and above his juniors w.e.f. 4.4.2007 by impleading those junior persons as parties. Therefore, at this stage, no fuhrer order is required to be passed.

5. The petition is finally disposed off.
