Pursuant to this Court's order dated 16.07.2020, a report has been submitted by the Station House OfÏcer, AJAK, Jagdalpur, District Bastar informing this Court that sole appellant Somendra Sahu S/o Keshaw Lal Sahu, who after changing the name as Ashok Sahu S/o Keshaw Sahu was residing at Dongargaon, District Kanker, has expired on 03.08.2016. Death certificate issued by the Department of Finance, Planning, Economics and Statistics, Directorate of Economics and Statistics, Government of Chhattisgarh has also been annexed.

State counsel has also confirmed this fact.

In view of the death of sole appellant and in absence of any application for bringing his legal representatives on record,
the criminal appeal abates and the same is accordingly dismissed as abated.
