1. Heard.

2. The instant petition is against the dormant action on behalf of respondents No.2 & 3 against the FIR lodged by the petitioner on 24.05.2017 bearing No.0116 at Police Station Newai.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the husband of the petitioner

was ailing and respondents No.4 & 5 in connivance with the officer of the Steel Authority of India got a VRS signed and the entire retiral dues were misappropriated by the private respondents and thereafter the FIR was lodged but no action is being taken by the police authorities, therefore, the police may be directed to investigate the matter pursuant to the FIR.

4. In view of the law laid down by the Supreme Court in Ram Lal Narang v.State (Delhi Admn.) (AIR 1979 SC 1791) and Lalita Kumari v.Government of Uttar Pradesh and Others {(2014) 2 SCC 1} wherein it has been held that in such complaints/FIR disclosing commission of cognizable offence, the concerned police shall register the FIR, complete the investigation within a reasonable time, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the concerned police to proceed in accordance with law and do the needful for completing the investigation at the earliest.
