1. The grievance of the petitioners are that there is disparity in the salary payable to the Pharmacist grade-2 in the other Department of the state to the petitioners who are working in the Jail Department.

2. Counsel for the petitioner submits that they have already made a detailed representation in this regard before respondent No.1 and 4 and they be directed to consider and decide the same in accordance with rules and regulations.

3. Particularly, keeping in view the recommendations made by Mr. V. N. Tiwari, committee. Given the limited relief that the petitioner has sought for, the writ petition at this juncture stands disposed for directing the respondents 1 and 4 to take an appropriate decision in accordance with the rules and regulations at the earliest preferably within a period of 4 months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
