1. The sole ground to challenge the transfer order is that the petitioner has been transferred to Lailunga which is about 90 k.m. away and the wife of the petitioner is posted at Loing which is about 10 k.m. away. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that as there is a policy of the State Govt. to keep the husband and wife together either at the same station or nearby station as far as possible, subject to administrative exigency, petitioner's case may also be directed to be considered by the competent authority.

2. The petitioner has filed this petition without there being any representation

-2before the competent authority. Therefore, it is directed that in case the petitioner prefers representation within a period of 10 days, the same may be considered by the respondent-authority within a further period of 4 weeks, subject to administrative exigency and other consideration, keeping in view their own policy.

3. With the aforesaid direction, the petition is finally disposed off.
