1. The present writ petition was filed seeking for a direction to the respondents to ensure the family pension payable to the petitioner be directly paid to the petitioner as she since has attained the age of majority.

2. The grievance of the petitioner was that since she has now attained the age of majority, the family pension should be paid directly to the petitioner, instead of it being paid through her natural guardian.

3. Though the respondents have filed the reply, however subsequently they have issued an order dated 25.05.2018 whereby considering the provisions under the Pension Rules, the respondents have issued necessary instructions holding that henceforth the pension would be

released directly in the name of the petitioner, who is the unmarried daughter of the deceased government employee.

4. The counsel appearing for the petitioner taking note of the said documents dated 25.05.2018 submits that in the light of the said order of the respondents, nothing further remains in the present writ petition. He only makes a request that the authorities concerned may ensure that the order stands complied at the earliest.

5. The writ petition according stands disposed off with a direction to the respondents to ensure that the order dated 25.05.2018 issued by the government so far as granting of pension directly to the petitioner is concerned is complied with at the earliest.

6. The copy of the order dated 25.05.2018 is produced before the Court and the same is taken on record.
