1. Challenge in the present writ petition is to the election held for the post of Sarpanch of Village Katkona, Tehsil Khadgawa, District Koriya. The election were held on 03.02.2020 and results were declared on the same day.

2. The alleged ground raised by the petitioner in the present writ petition is the illegal means adopted by the winning candidate in the election process.

3. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, particularly the fact that the election results have already been declared on 03.02.2020, this Court is of the opinion that the writ petition at this juncture would not be maintainable as the remedy available to the petitioner is for preferring an election petition under Section 122 of the Chhattisgarh Panchayat Raj Adhiniyam, 1993.

4. Reserving the right of the petitioner to avail the remedies available to her, the present writ petition accordingly, stands disposed off. Sd/- (P. Sam Koshy) Judge inder
