1. The grievance of the petitioner in the present writ petition is the inaction on the part of the respondents No.3&4 in not finalizing the claim for compassionate appointment.

2. The petitioner has moved an application for compassionate appointment on death of her Husband who died in harness on 21.11.2016 working on the post of Shiksha Karmi Grade-III under Janpad Panchayat, Charama, District Kanker. The application of the petitioner for compassionate appointment was duly processed and vide order dated 17.10.2017 issued by respondent No.3 the petitioner was granted three years time to obtain requisite educational qualification for being considered for compassionate appointment.

3. The petitioner, as instructed by the respondent No.3, obtained all the requisite qualifications and submitted the requisite documents to the

-2respondent No.4, which in turn, the respondent No.4 has forwarded to the respondent No.3 for appropriate orders on the claim of the petitioner for compassionate appointment, however, till date no development has transpired which has led to the filing of the present writ petition.

4. Learned counsel appearing for the State submits that since decision has to be taken at the level of respondent No.3, the present petition may be disposed of directing the respondent No.3 to take an appropriate decision in accordance with rules, regulations and policy governing the field.

5. Given the said facts and circumstances of the case, the present writ petition at this juncture stands disposed of directing the respondent No.3 to take an appropriate decision on the claim of the petitioner for compassionate appointment at the earliest preferably within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
