Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the appeal preferred by the petitioner under Section 16 of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizen Act, 2007 (for short 'Act of 2017') is pending consideration before the respondent No. 2 since August, 2017 and, therefore, directions may be issued to consider and dispose of the same expeditiously.

Be that as it may, the Appellate authority is directed to consider and dispose of the petitioner's appeal filed under Section 16 of the Act of 2017
expeditiously preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of copy of this order after hearing both the parties. 4.
With the aforesaid observation, the writ petition stands finally disposed of. No order as to cost(s).
