Learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that the petitioners' application for grant of lease in respect of government land is pending consideration before the Collector, Mahasamund since 06.09.2016 and, therefore, directions may be issued to expedite the same.

I have heard learned counsel for the petitioners. 3.
Be that as it may, the Collector, Mahasamund is directed to consider and dispose of the petitioners' application expeditiously preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of copy of this order after hearing the affected parties.

It is made clear that this Court has not made any opinion on the merits of the case.

With the aforesaid observation, the writ petition stands finally disposed of. No order as to cost(s).
