The grievance of the petitioner is that despite the FIR dated 29.08.2017 against the Respondents No.5 & 6, the police is sitting over the matter and no actions are being taken; therefore, only the limited prayer is that the police may be directed to expedite their act in filing challan or filing of closure report. 2.
Considering the limited prayer, it is directed that since the FIR is registered, the police cannot sit over the same for the time immemorial. Consequently, they are directed to take action and arrive at a certain opinion and may file the charge sheet or the
closure report. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any observation on the merits of the case.
