Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that even though an order was passed by this Court on 16.07.2014 for concluding the departmental enquiry as early as possible, no efforts have been made by the respondent to conclude the enquiry. He submits that after the passing of the order, steps have not been taken to proceed with the enquiry.
2. Though, no specific time limit has been fixed, the spirit of the order requires the respondent to conclude the enquiry as early as possible. More than one year has elapsed The grievance is that for last one year, no proceedings have taken place.
3. If the respondent does not conclude the enquiry within a period of four months from the date of receipt of copy of this order, which is now being passed, this Court shall be constrained to initiate contempt proceedings.
