Order On Board 31/07/2015 At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that though on the report of the petitioner, FIR has been registered by the police, further proceedings towards seizure and other steps for prevention of violation of copy right as required under Section 64 of the Copy Right Act are not being taken by the police authorities. 2.

The report of the petitioner having been taken cognizance and offence registered, it is for the police authorities to carry out investigation and take appropriate steps in that regard in accordance with law. This Court cannot issue any specific direction to the police authorities as to in what manner the investigation be carried out. It is presumed that the authorities shall act in accordance with law. Therefore, no specific order can be issued.
