The relief sought for by the petitioner in the instant Writ Petition if for a direction to the respondents No. 1 & 2 to take an early decision on the claim of the petitioner for compassionate appointment. 2.
The facts of the case is that, the wife of the petitioner was working under the respondents as a Training Officer at the Industrial Training Institute, Raipur. While serving on the said post, the she died in harness on 19/12/2016. The petitioner immediately moved an application for compassionate appointment which till date has not been finalized.

Perusal of record would show that the Annexure-P/4 is a document recommending the case of the petitioner forwarded by the respondent No.2 to the office of the respondent No.1.

Given the said facts, let the respondents No. 1 & 2 take an appropriate decision on the claim of the petitioner for compassionate appointment taking into consideration the scheme for compassionate appointment applicable on the date of death of the deceased employee. It is expected that a decision be taken within a period of 90 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
