1. The present contempt petition has been filed alleging non compliance of the order dated 30.11.2018 passed in WPS No. 7838 of 2018. The direction given by this Court was to the respondent to immediately consider and decide the representation/objection which the petitioner had filed before the respondent.

2. The respondents entered appearance and submitted their reply that the case of the petitioner was duly considered and it was found that the petitioner was granted erroneous seniority and have taken steps for the rectification of the same.

3. The respondents, in their reply, have also submitted that since State has already taken steps for revising the seniority of the petitioner in the gradation list and have also taken steps for holding the review

-2DPC which shall be convened shortly for promotion to the post of Assistant Director and decision would also be taken soon.

4. Given the said reply by the respondents particularly taking note of the contentions of the State that the seniority of the petitioner would stand revised and he would be granted seniority over and above his juniors and that review DPC shall be convened shortly for considering the case of the petitioner for promotion to the post of Assistant Director, this Court is of the opinion that nothing further remains for compliance in the present contempt petition. Hoping that the respondents shall conclude the review DPC and the proceeding of review DPC be concluded at the earliest this contempt petition stands disposed of.
