1. The limited grievance which the petitioner has raised in the present writ petition is for an appropriate direction to respondents 1 & 2 to comply with the memo of the State Govt. dated 18.09.2008 Annexure

P-1 whereby the State Govt. had decided to grant the benefit of revised pension to the pensioners of the State of Chhattisgarh w.e.f. 01.01.2006 and it was also ordered that the pensioners would be entitled for the arrears of pension between 01.01.2006 to 31.08.2008.

2. Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been repeatedly approaching the authority concerned for redressal of his grievance but till date it has not been decided.

3. Given the aforesaid submission made by the counsel for the petitioner and also considering the age of the petitioner, this Court is of the opinion that ends of justice would meet if the writ petition is disposed of at the motion stage itself directing respondents 1 to 3 to take an early decision on the claim of the petitioner so far as the arrears of pension is concerned in accordance with the decision of the State Govt. dated 18.09.2008 (Annexure P-1) and 31.08.2009 (Annexure P2). Let an appropriate decision be taken in this regard within a period of 4 months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
