The applicant has preferred this application for grant of bail as he is arrested in connection with Crime No.21/2021 registered in Police Station Bhakhara, District Dhamtari (C.G.) for offence punishable under section 307 of Indian Penal Code.

As per the prosecution case, during a cricket match some altercation took place wherein the complainant was umpiring, present applicant came in a drunken condition and assaulted by way of blade at four places.

Learned counsel for the applicant submits that the injury were simple in nature, he is in jail since 12/02/2021, charge sheet has been filed, no further investigation is necessary, therefore the applicant may be released on bail.

Learned State counsel opposes the prayer for grant of bail, however do not dispute the fact that the injury were simple in nature. 5.
Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, nature of injury, charge sheet has been filed, applicant is in jail since 12/02/2021, this court is inclined to release the applicant on bail.

Accordingly, the bail application is allowed and it is directed that the applicant shall be released on his furnishing personal bond for a sum of Rs.25,000/- with one surety in the like sum to the satisfaction of concerned trial court for his regular appearance before it as and when directed.
