Heard counsel for the parties.

In furtherance to the direction as well as the prayer made in the present PIL, an extensive survey of the schools running in the district of Mahasamund has been carried out. Details of which have been annexed with the affidavit, which is compliance report. Action has been taken against schools who have not followed the law under the Right to Education Act, 2009 and show-causes have also been issued to such large number of schools on 25.09.2017 demanding response and the details.

It goes without saying that no sooner the schools in question file their showcauses, follow up action would be taken. The Court would like to further clarify that the word 'no sooner' does not mean an indefinite period, but a reasonable period may be 6-8 weeks.

Writ stands disposed off with a direction to the competent authority to take follow up action.
