Versus
Santosh Kumar Jangade S/o Sadhram Jangade, Aged About 28 Years R/o Ward No. 06, Near Urja Park, Kawardha, Civil And Revenue District Kabirdham, Chhattisgarh ................ (Claimant) ---- Respondents For Appellant :
Mr. C.P. Lahrey, Advocate.
Hon'ble Shri Justice Manindra Mohan Shrivastava Order on Board 27/04/2016 Heard on admission.
1.
This appeal is filed by the owner against the award of compensation of Rs.1,18,725/- along with the interest. 2.
Learned counsel for the appellant submits that the Claims Tribunal has awarded medical expenses relying on the bills which were not verified. He submits that the claimant was obliged under the law to prove the bills by producing the doctors who had treated the claimant.
3.
A perusal of the award shows that the bills which have been submitted by the claimant have been accepted in the absence of any challenge made to the same. It is not a case where the permanent or partial disability was required to be proved by the examination of the doctors. In the absence of any serious challenge laid to the bills of medical expenditure, the Claims Tribunal has not committed any
illegality in awarding compensation. The appeal has no merit and is dismissed.
