1. The applicant has preferred this application for grant of bail as he is arrested in connection with Crime No.84/2020 registered in Police Station Baikunthpur, District Koriya for offence under Section 419 & 420 of the IPC, Section 66(D) of the IT Act and Section 12 of the Passport Act.
2. The applicant is a foreign national. He prepared a fake profile in the name of one Rohan Mishra on the Jeevansathi.com platform and contacted the complainant and induced her to part with money for clearance. The applicant asked the victim to deposit the amount in different account which the complainant followed and deposited total Rs.24 lakhs. The applicant has been arrested on the basis of his web
MCRC No. 2624 of 2021 login ip address. He is having two different passports, one of Nigeria and the other one of South Africa, which are in two different names. The applicant also remained in contact with the complainant through Whatsapp and mail.
3. Considering the quality of evidence and the manner in which the applicant has committed cyber crime, I am not inclined to release the applicant on bail at this stage. Accordingly, the application is rejected. However, liberty is reserved in favour of the applicant to revive the prayer after examination of material witnesses including the complainant.
