The petitioner who retired from the post of Headmaster from the School Education Department has filed the present Writ Petition alleging that he has not been paid the provident fund dues till date though his retirement took place almost 9 years back.

There is a specific pleading made by the counsel for the petitioner that, no departmental enquiry or any such complication is their which could cause the delay in the settlement of the provident fund.

Given the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court does not intend to go into the merits of the case at this juncture rather ends of justice would meet if the Writ Petition is disposed off with a direction to the respondents No. 1 & 2 to scrutinize the case of the petitioner and settle his provident fund dues within a period of 60 days from today. The petitioner shall also be entitled for interest till date the payment is made to the petitioner.
