1. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the father of the petitioners was working on the post of Inspector with the office of Chief Engineer Hasdeo Kachar Water Resource Department. After bifurcation of the State the services of the petitioners' father was transferred to Chhattisgarh. The petitioners' father though was issued caste certificate as they belong to Gond Tribe, subsequently the petitioners had made an application under the Chhattisgarh Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes (Regulation of Social Status Certification) Act, 2013 and till date seven months have been passed, however the respondent No. 2 has not taken any decision on the application to issue the caste certificate and due process has not been concluded. It is for this the petitioners are losing their right to participate in the competitive examinations to claim the benefit of same.
2. Considering the limited prayer made and after perusal of the documents since the issue is pending with the respondent No. 2 about the verification and the issuance of the caste certificate, the respondent No. 2 The President, District Level Certificates Verification Committee is directed to conclude the proceeding of issuance of caste certificate within a period of two months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
