1. Counsel for the respondents entering appearance filed their reply wherein the respondents have accepted the fact that the petitioner is entitled for the benefit of maternity leave even in the capacity of contractual appointee and that the leave would be only for the period as long as the contract lasts. Counsel for the respondents submits

that the contract came to an end on 23rd of July, 2018, therefore, the petitioner became entitled for maternity leave only for 53 days, till the contractual appointment remained. Counsel for the respondents submits that the salary has also since been paid to the petitioner.

2. Given the said facts, this Court is of the view that the order stands complied with. Accordingly, the contempt petition stands disposed of and the respondents stand discharged from the contempt proceedings. However, the right of the petitioner is reserved to approach the Court in the event of any subsequent grievance still remains.
