The present petition has been filed on behalf of employees working as Assistant Grade-III in the State Govt. whereby they say that the grade pay which is being paid to other employees like Assistant Teacher, Patwari and Data Entry Operator etc. are not being provided to the petitioners and as such there is big difference of wages that the petitioners are receiving as compared to the aforementioned post holders.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that even D.N. Tiwari Committee constituted for redressal of the anomalies arisen in the course of granting benefit of revision of pay also has recommended the claim of the petitioners.

The counsel for the petitioners at this juncture provides a document of the Finance Department of the State Govt. whereby they have referred the entire matter to the Secretary, General Administration Department, Govt. of Chhattisgarh to consider the claim of the petitioners and to make suitable recommendation. He submits that since the matter is already seized with the General Administration Department of the Govt. of Chhattisgarh, let the writ petition itself be disposed of directing the General Administration Department to take an appropriate decision at the earliest.

The said prayer is not opposed by the counsel appearing for the State.

Accordingly, the present petition in its present form stands disposed of with a direction that the respondent No.1-Secretary, General Administration Department may take a suitable decision at the earliest on the letter issued by the Finance Department dated 07.07.2018 in this regard.

Let an appropriate decision be taken at the earliest within a period of three months from today. It shall be the responsibility of the petitioners to bring notice of this order to respondent No.1. 7.
