1. The claim of the petitioner is for grant of compassionate appointment. According to the petitioner the father of the petitioner died in harness on 28/03/2013. According to the petitioner when the father of the petiitoner died he was a minor and on attaining the age of majority, the petitioner had moved an application which till date has not been finalised and is pending consideration before the authorities concerned.

2. Given the facts and circumstances of the case, since the claim of the petitioner of compassionate appointment is pending consideration

before the department without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court disposes off the writ petition with a direction to the respondents No. 2 & 3 to take a decision on the claim of the petitioner in accordance with the scheme for compassionate appointment applicable on the date of death of deceased employee and an appropriate order be passed within a period of 90 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
