1. This review petition has been filed by the petitioner for review of the order dated 05/09/2017 passed in W.P.C. No. 2769 of 2016.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner's application for correction in mother's name was filed on 27/11/2015 and the new rule came into force on 25/06/2015.

3. I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner and perused the records.

4. The order under review dated 05/09/2017 is accordingly modified. The Central Board of Secondary Education is directed to consider the petitioner's case in accordance with law and rule applicable.
