By way of the instant writ petition, the petitioners sought for the following reliefs: - i. Issue an appropriate writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing that the non-grant of seats and the reduction of intake by the Respondent vide its order dated 15.05.2015 (Annexure P-1) is illegal and the Petitioners are entitled to run the college in accordance with law, and all consequential and necessary directions may kindly be issued in this regard to the Respondent; and ii. Issue an appropriate writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing that Respondent not to interfere with the intake granted by the AICTE; and

iii. To issue any other further writ, order or direction which this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the present case and in the interests of justice. iv. Any other relief (s) which the Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in view of the facts and circumstances of case may also kindly be granted.

v. Costs of the petition may kindly be granted to the petitioners. 2.

In the case of Parshvanath Charitable Trust & Others v. All India Council for Technical Education & Others, (2013) 3 SCC 385, the Hon'ble Supreme Court has laid down the schedule wherein the last date for admission of the student is fixed for 15th August. Since the date has already been passed, it would be futile exercise to go into the academic issue to adjudicate the petition.

Consequently, without going into merits of this case, the petition stands disposed of.
