This petition has been filed for issuance of direction to the Respondent No.2 to consider and decide the application filed on 18.02.2019 for grant of regular stage carriage permit as provided under Section 72 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the said application has been made for grant of regular stage carriage permit for the route Raipur to Cantpadar Via Rajim, Garyaband, Mainpur,

Dhurwagodi, Devbhog and return trip daily, which is still under consideration before the said authority.

Having considered the facts and circumstances of the case and considering further the pendency of the petitioner's application, I am inclined to direct the Respondent No.2/Regional Transport Authority, Raipur to decide the said application within a period of six weeks from receiving the certified copy of this order and to communicate its decision immediately thereafter to the petitioner. The petitioner shall serve the copy of this order before the concerned authority within a period of two weeks from today.

The writ petition stands disposed of.
