1. The present writ petition has been filed being aggrieved by the action on the part of the respondents in not declaring the results for the five vacant posts of Constable (Trade) for district Gariyaband.

According to counsel for the petitioners, all the petitioners here were found meritorious when initial results were published, however, thereafter no further progress has been made whereas the recruitment for the other districts have already been concluded and appointment orders have also been issued much earlier and the selected candidates have also joined their respective place of posting in all other districts except District Gariyaband for which the petitioners had applied.

According to the State counsel, there was certain complaints which the department had received in respect of selection for District Gariyaband is concerned and the authorities have already authorized an officer to conduct an enquiry into the complaints and to submit his report. It is the further contention of the State counsel that immediately on receipt of said enquiry report from the concerned authority, appropriate further proceedings shall be drawn for filling up of the said vacant posts of Constable (Trade) for district Gariyaband.

4. Given the said submissions by the State counsel, the writ petition at this juncture stands disposed of directing the respondents to ensure that the enquriy contemplated is concluded and appropriate steps be taken for filling up of the vacant post of Constable (Trade) in the light of outcome of the enquriy at the earliest preferably within a period of 90 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
