1. The grievance of the petitioner in the present writ petition is that the petitioner stood retired from service on 30.01.2017, but till date the petitioner has not been released his gratuity that he was payable to on his retirement. The further contention of the petitioner is that the respondents have also not released the full pension payable to the petitioner and he is only being paid 90% of his pension.

Counsel for the petitioner at this juncture submits that he has instructions to state that there is no disciplinary action pending against the petitioner, nor is there any criminal case pending against the petitioner, by which the respondents could have taken a plea of not finalizing his retiral dues.

Given the said facts and circumstances of the case, particularly on the submissions made by the counsel for the petitioner, this Court is of the opinion that no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping the petition pending, rather ends of justice would meet if the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents No.2 & 3 to ensure that the case of the petitioner is processed at the earliest and the same is finalized within a period of 90 days from the date of receipt of the copy of this order.

4. With the aforesaid observations, the present writ petition stands disposed off.
