This contempt petition has been filed by the petitioner alleging willful disobedience of the order dated 17.08.2016 passed by this Court in 3677 of 2016.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that even though the effect and operation of the impugned order has been stayed, though the petitioner has not been compelled to proceed on transfer, the charge of office which was already handed over to another officer prior to interim order is not being given back to the petitioner. 3.

This Court has granted interim order on 17.08.2016 staying the effect and operation of the impugned transfer order and State has been directed to submit reply. According to the petitioner's own showing that charge was already handed over to another officer,

therefore, at this stage, I am not inclined to issue notice to the respondent. But, the petitioner would be at liberty to revive the contempt petition at a later stage if any steps are taken either to relieve him or to deny to pay him salary.

The petition is accordingly disposed off.
