The challenge in the present writ petition is to the Annexure P-1 dated 19/05/2017 whereby the services of the petitioner has been transferred in the nature of deputation from post of Assistant Forest Conservator, Forest Department to the post of Sub Divisional Officer, Water Resource Department. The said order of deputation was without the consent of the petitioner. The petitioner submits that he had an interim order in his favour since 21/06/2017 and by virtue of the interim protection, he still continues to work in the Forest Department.

Given the facts, by the efflux of time, the impugned order has lost its efficacy, the writ petition accordingly stands disposed off with the direction to the respondents not to act upon the impugned order any further so far as the petitioner is concerned, However, the right of the respondents stands reserved to pass a fresh order in case administrative exigency so arises.
