Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has filed an application in Form-N under Section 10(1) of Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972 before respondent No.3 i.e. The Controlling Authority and Regional Labour Commissioner (Central), Bilaspur for payment of gratuity, which is still pending consideration till this date and therefore, direction may be issued to the said authority to decide the same, expeditiously.

In view of above, Respondent No.3 is directed to do well and take a decision on the pending application of the petitioner in accordance with law preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of copy of this order as the petitioner has retired on 31.10.2013. 4.

With the aforesaid observation, the writ petition stands finally disposed of. No order as to cost(s).
