These are the two applications filed under Section 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure for grant of regular bail to the applicants, who have been arrested in connection with Crime No.40/2020 registered at Police Station Sahaspur/Lohara, District Kabirdham (CG) for the offence punishable under Sections 420, 34 of the IPC.

3. The applicants have extracted huge amount to the tune of Rs.77 lakhs from different victims on false assurance to them that Government jobs will be arranged for them. During investigation, afÏdavit of applicant Kapileshwar Puri Goswami and blank cheques signed by him in favour of the victims promising them to return the amount have been recovered. Forged appointment letters of different Government ofÏces and fabricated seals of different Government Departments have also been recovered from the accused persons. Applicant Naveen Tiwari also used to approach the victims on behalf of applicant Kapileshwar Puri Goswami, fraudulently assuring them of arranging employment, if they pay the amount.

4. Considering the huge amount involved and the manner, in which, the poor innocent persons have been defrauded, this Court is not inclined to release the applicants on regular bail.
