The prayers in the writ petition are in the following terms: "10.1 That, the Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to direct the respondents to comply the reservation policy for in the allotment of seats in the CGPMT 2012.

10.2 That, the Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to quash the admission/allotment of seats of the OBC

category candidates holding rank on the rule of the merit (and not by virtue of rule of reservation) as reserved category candidate.

10.3 That, the Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to the direct the respondent authorities that the candidates belonging to OBC category holding rank on the rule of merit (and not by virtue of rule of reservation) to be counted as open category candidates.

10.4 That, the Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to direct the respondent authority for inclusion of the names of the petitioners in the OBC category and admission to the MBBS course on account of the vacancies available in the revised list in compliance of the reservation policy. 10.5 That, the Hon'ble Court be pleased to pass any other direction/order after evaluating the facts and grievances of petitioner."

On going through the pleadings and prayers, it is seen that the challenge was mainly with regard to the admission to the MBBS course. No interim order was passed by this Court and the matter is more than 7 years old. 3.

Shri Vikram Sharma, the learned counsel appearing for the State submits that the matter has become infructuous. We find force in the said submission. 4.
