1. The limited grievance that the petitioner has in the present writ petition is the inaction on the part of the respondents in not completing the selection process for appointment to the post of Anganwadi Worker of Ward No.7, Nagar Panchayat, Kasdol, District Baloda Bazar, Bhatapara.

2. According to the petitioner the selection process had been initiated for all the wards and except for ward no.7 the appointment in all the other wards have been concluded.

Contention of the petitioner is that initially when the merit list was published the name of petitioner appeared at Serial No.2, however on verifying it was revealed that petitioner was not awarded additional marks on account of her belonging to the below poverty line group. She immediately made a representation to the authorities concerned and authorities concerned found the claim of the petitioner to be genuine and she was ordered to be granted additional marks on account of her belonging to the below poverty line group. It is also the contention of the petitioner that pursuant to the awarding of additional marks, she would stand meritorious at Serial No.1 instead of 2, which was earlier granted and therefore she was entitled for the appointment to the post of Anganwadi Worker for ward no.7. However, thereafter the respondents till date have not taken any decision in this regard.

Given the limited grievance that petitioner has and also taking note of the nature of disptue in this writ petition, this Court is of the opinion that no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping the writ petition pending rather ends of justice would meet if the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent no.2 to 4 to take a decision in respect of appointment of Anganwadi Worker for ward no.7 under the Nagar Panchayat, Kasdol at the earliest preferably within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

5. With the aforesaid observations, the present writ petition accordingly stands allowed and disposed of.
