1. The grievance of the petitioner is that, he being senior most Mandi Secretary was eligible for promotion to the next higher post of Secretary, Selection Grade. According to the petitioner, his juniors have already been granted promotion but for some reasons promotion has not been granted to the petitioner. He further submits that he has been orally informed by the superior authorities that some of the confidential reports of the petitioner is not traceable and therefore his case could not be considered.

2. Be that as it may, without entering into the merits of the case ends of justice would meet if the case of the petitioner is scrutinized by the respondent No.2Managing Director, Agriculture, Marketing Mandi Board, and after due verification of the facts and also after making all efforts for obtaining the missing CR's of the petitioner, shall take a decision on the petitioner's claim for

promotion at bar with the juniors within a period of 90 days from the date of petitioner's providing certified copy of this order to the respondent No.2.

3. With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition stands finally disposed of. No order as to cost.
