Hon'ble Shri Justice Manindra Mohan Shrivastava Order On Board 24/03/2017 The grievance of the petitioner is that though the petitioner has applied for renewal of his F.L.3 license under the provisions of Chhattisgarh Videshi Madira Niyam, 1996 well in advance, the competent licensing authority has not taken any decision on the application of the petitioner even after more than one month of the application. It is submitted that as the validity period of the existing license would expire on 31/03/2017, the petitioner apprehending that his business may be closed without decision of the application for renewal, has rushed to this Court.

State counsel submits that from the documents on record, it appears that the petitioner has moved an application for renewal and the matter is pending before the competent authority. Therefore, this petition may be disposed off with appropriate direction.

Considering the aforesaid submission, this petition is disposed off at this stage with a direction to the licensing authority to decide petitioner's
